Finally! I have seen Jules Verne's Mysterious Island (I've seen several versions, so I'm guessing this was one of those). Assuming this is the one they run on Pluto's Asylum Channel, it is a decent adaptation with some fairly passable FX.
Due to budget limitations, there is a bit of hand-wringing and cringeworthy acting moments where you can tell the director asked them to "stretch" things a bit, but overall it is definitely worth an hour and a half.
Retina is a cyberpunk sci-fi film from our friends at Popcornflix. You can find them on Roku, and look for their themed channels if you have a genre preference.
I really am trying to screen these before I post them so that I have something insightful to contribute but I do not have the time presently. I am working on it, though!
